About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Lead to join our Global Strategic Outsourcing & Devices (GSOD) team at Novo Nordisk. As a key member of our sourcing unit, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of external supply needed to develop and produce products that help millions of people around the world living with chronic diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement category management strategies to drive business growth and improve supply chain efficiency
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and service levels
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to identify and mitigate supply chain risks
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of procurement team members
About the Department

Global Strategic Outsourcing & Devices (GSOD) is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk's Product Supply division. Our team is responsible for ensuring the availability of external supply needed to develop and produce products that help millions of people around the world living with chronic diseases.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in category management, procurement, or business development from an international organization or start-up within pharmaceuticals
  • Proven track record of negotiating contracts and managing suppliers
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, along with solid stakeholder management and networking skills
  • Fluency in both verbal and written English
