We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the Department of Digital Design and Information Studies at Aarhus University. The successful candidate will be part of a research project focused on designing and developing innovative solutions for shared management of anxiety in university students.
About the ProjectThe project aims to investigate how smart garment-based wearables can be designed to allow shared management of student anxiety with close ones in the university context. The researcher will work closely with the project manager, associate professor Minna Pakanen, and a PhD student to conduct qualitative interviews and creative co-design workshops with relevant stakeholders. The researcher will also be responsible for the iterative design of the wearables for shared management of anxiety, following a constructive design research approach.
About the RoleThe postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for:
- Conducting qualitative interviews and creative co-design workshops with stakeholders
- Designing and developing innovative solutions for shared management of anxiety in university students
- Working closely with the project manager and PhD student to achieve project goals
- Presenting research findings and results to the project team and stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A PhD degree in a relevant field, such as design, human-computer interaction, or a related field
- Experience in qualitative research methods and design thinking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
