Job Description

The Department of Political Science at Aarhus University invites applications for a 2-year postdoctoral research position to join a new research project on how party leaders explain electoral defeat. The project aims to explore how party leaders communicate with their partisans and the public when their party experiences an electoral defeat.

The successful applicant will be part of a research team led by Professor Martin Bækgaard and will be expected to engage in collaborative research, participate in project meetings, and contribute to the development of research projects and publications.

The postdoctoral researcher will be employed as part of the project and will be expected to take a leading role in designing and coordinating research projects, publishing research in high-impact journals, and providing support for project-related tasks.

The project offers funding for conferences, additional training, and opportunities for developing a strong academic network. The successful applicant will also be expected to teach the equivalent of one course per year.
