Vestas Global Procurement is a renowned best-in-class Procurement function within the world's leading OEM for sustainable energy solutions. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for all Procurement activities within Vestas Wind System A/S, including co-leading cross-functional Module teams, negotiations, value creation initiatives, Module strategy development and implementation, and Supplier Account Management. The Direct Materials procurement department is globally responsible for procurement of all direct materials for our global product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Gearbox procurement team as part of the Powertrain module, comprising 8 colleagues. You will be responsible for sourcing Vestas' global demand of Gearbox components, working closely with a global team based in Denmark, China, India, and Portugal.
  • Be an active part of our extended leadership team, representing the team towards internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage cost-out and efficiency improvement initiatives in a cross-functional team, maintaining or improving product quality and supplier service levels.
  • Facilitate collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure mature preparation and lead negotiations for the gearbox spend, which accounts for over 600 Mio€ annually.
  • Lead the cross-functional commodity team, developing and deploying a strategy that supports the overall Vestas strategy, encompassing the needs of all functions.
  • Take supplier relationship management to the next level, unlocking full value chain optimization opportunities in collaboration with suppliers and partners.
Qualifications
  • MSc or equivalent with a relevant area of study, e.g., business, economics, mechanical engineering, etc.
  • Successful +5 year track-record within Procurement, Finance, or Project Management.
  • Experience with managing larger projects or negotiations towards senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong people leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proven people leadership skills in an inclusive workplace where people thrive to perform and want to stay.
