About the Position

The Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen invites applications for a postdoctoral position as part of the research project 'Non-Muslim Islam'. This project aims to investigate how non-Muslims produce Islamic discourse and its implications for law and society. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and analyzing the production of non-Muslim Islam in various contexts, including media, education, and law.

We are looking for an ambitious researcher with a strong academic background in law or sociology of law. You will work closely with the project lead, Associate Professor Jesper Petersen, to execute Work Package 2, which focuses on the legal system. Your tasks will include mapping the presence of non-Muslim Islam in Danish law and investigating its consequences for Muslim citizens. Fluency in Danish is required, and you will be expected to publish high-quality research papers.

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will have the opportunity to develop your research skills and collaborate with experts in the field. We encourage applicants who are passionate about exploring new ideas and pushing the boundaries of knowledge.
