Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and outstanding postdoctoral candidate with a strong interest in energy and climate change and EU Law. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant academic degree in law or in another social science discipline and possess the appropriate theoretical and methodological tools to carry out the research. Crucially, the successful candidate will have the ability to work in a collaborative international environment both independently and as part of the team.

About the Role:
This postdoctoral position is part of the EU Interreg Research Project Igniting H2 Transport Innovation Ecosystems in the North Sea Region (H2Ignite), which aims to provide a way forward for regional innovation ecosystems for green hydrogen. The successful candidate will be part of a larger research team at CLIMA, working on climate change and sustainability, and will contribute to the development of legal frameworks for green hydrogen transport innovation ecosystems in the North Sea Region.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct research on the opportunities and challenges in existing legal frameworks and policies related to green hydrogen in the EU and national jurisdictions.* Identify legal and policy gaps across the North Sea Region and suggest ways to address them.* Collaborate with the research team to develop a research project that contributes to the overall objective of the H2Ignite project.* Publish high-quality peer-reviewed research papers on the topic.* Participate in conferences and workshops to present research findings and engage with stakeholders.

Requirements:
* PhD, JSD, or equivalent degree in law or in another social science discipline.* Strong knowledge of EU Law and energy/climate change policy.* Excellent research skills and experience in conducting research projects.* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.* Strong communication and presentation skills.* Fluent English language skills.
