About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Global Data Strategist to join our team at Novo Nordisk. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of comprehensive data strategies aligned with our company's goals. Main Accountabilities
  • Data Strategy & Leadership:
  • Develop and implement a data strategy that aligns with the company's goals, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of high-quality data products.
  • Ensure seamless integration of data from various sources, including clinical trials, genomics, and real-world data, to support drug development pipelines.
  • Establish robust data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Advanced Analytics & Innovation:
  • Lead the development of advanced analytics products and platforms using machine learning, AI, and bioinformatics to extract insights from complex clinical datasets.
  • Collaborate with scientific and clinical leaders to identify areas where data-driven approaches can optimize development processes.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, ensuring the team stays at the forefront of emerging technologies such as AI-driven drug discovery, digital biomarkers, and predictive analytics.
  • Technology Infrastructure & Tools:
  • Oversee the design and management of scalable data architecture and technology platforms that support high-volume data processing.
  • Ensure interoperability of data systems across functions, including research, clinical development, regulatory, and commercial.
  • Lead efforts to build or integrate new technologies and tools that facilitate real-time data analysis, visualization, and collaboration.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with R&D, clinical, regulatory, and commercial teams to understand their data needs and deliver tailored solutions that enhance drug development efforts.
  • Act as a key liaison with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, research institutions, and technology vendors.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
  • Demonstrate strong and visible leadership of the area, inspiring high-performing teams to achieve excellence.
  • Promote diversity of thought and create an inclusive environment where data innovation can thrive.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensure all data activities are compliant with global regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Oversee risk management strategies related to data privacy, security, and ethical use of data in drug development.
  • Data and Analytics Global Business Service:
  • Establish a global presence with initial development of Business Services in India.
  • Atract, develop and retain talents and ensure they work in a global delivery model alongside the rest of the team.
  • Performance Metrics:
  • Manage and execute product portfolio within timeline, quality, budget.
  • Track the advancement of analytics capabilities within the organization.
  • High satisfaction with the data and analytics services provided by the team.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $250,000-$350,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
