Job Description

The Molecular Foundry at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the Novo Nordisk Quantum Computing Program are collaborating to advance superconducting and semiconducting quantum computing platforms. This position is for a postdoctoral researcher who will improve qubits and related quantum processor performance, focusing on material quality, choice, and novel fabrication and packaging development.

Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate, characterize, and analyze devices.
  • Develop novel fabrication and characterization methods.
  • Communicate results through publications and presentations.
  • Liaise between research groups to enhance collaboration.
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with fabrication and characterization of qubit platforms.
  • Interest in understanding material science aspects of qubit performance.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
