Category Manager Clinical Studies

About the Role
Lundbeck is seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our R&D Procurement team. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving category strategy development, planning, and execution in close collaboration with the other Category Managers and Senior Category Managers in the category team related to the sourcing activities within clinical studies, globally across Lundbeck.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage sourcing projects and processes within Clinical Studies, including running RFPs, Bid Defense Meetings, and negotiation of Work Orders, Change Orders, and contracts in close alignment with Lundbeck's line of business and management – all based on category management methodology.
- Participate in lifecycle management of the relevant contract portfolio and strategic vendor relations, ensuring continued commercial and legal governance and value generation.
- Take part in the close collaboration with internal key stakeholders to secure project and strategy alignment.
- Ensure clinical study quality & timelines, compliance, intellectual property, liability, and regulatory requirements and overall Lundbeck long-term interests across the contract portfolio.

Requirements
- Project management skills demonstrated through a minimum of 3 years' experience managing projects either in or related to Clinical Development (for example, as clinical study/trial manager, procurement role, or similar).
- Profound understanding of clinical studies is a key requirement, but we are open to where your experience comes from. This could be from past roles in both pharmaceutical development or a more procurement-related role with experience in clinical studies.
- Business partnering skills, ability to influence, and an emphatic mindset.
- An interest in building or further building your outsourcing skills (project management, negotiations, legal understanding, data analysis, and Category Management).
- A Master's Degree from a University or Business School relevant to the position.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach.
- The ability to manage many projects and tasks simultaneously with a high drive.
- A keen interest in outsourcing and in continuously developing your skill-set both as an individual and together with your colleagues.
- English fluency, verbally and written.
