The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Scientist for Synthetic APIs to join our team, where you will play a key role in driving innovation and advancing our synthetic API processes. As a member of our c. 150-strong team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with talented colleagues from around the world and contribute to the design and implementation of product development processes across lab, pilot, scale-up, and commercialization phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement state-of-the-art commercial protein and peptide synthesis processes.
  • Drive innovation and problem-solving within protein and peptide development and manufacturing.
  • Establish and optimize related manufacturing technologies and develop innovative application-specific solutions.
  • Act as a thought-leader for protein and peptide synthesis and provide input and advice to senior management when required.
  • Lead international collaborations with external partners and support stakeholder organizations with technical know-how.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven track record of senior scientific roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Expert knowledge and practical experience in state-of-the-art chemical protein and peptide synthesis and related manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Strong familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and problem-solving within protein and peptide development and manufacturing.
  • Proven success in collaborating with cross-functional teams and developing strategic plans.
  • A PhD in organic chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or a related discipline.
