Research Opportunity at SDU
The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in the area of sustainable cooling and heating technologies. The successful candidate will be involved in the development and demonstration of an R718 high temperature heat pump coupled with a heat-powered R718 chiller.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement dynamic simulation models of the ground source R718 high temperature heat pumps integrated with a heat-powered refrigeration system in different case studies.
- Validate the models against experimental data and implement effective operational flexibility strategies.
- Carry out technical, dissemination, and management activities related to the GEOSYN project.
- Supervise Ph.D., Master, and Bachelor students working on similar scientific topics.
- Publish research in scientific journals with high impact.
- Assist in teaching activities and engage in funding applications.
Requirements
- PhD degree in Mechanical, Energy, or similar Engineering.
- Strong background in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Control Engineering, and Energy Conversion Systems.
- Experience in implementing dynamic simulation models of energy systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
