Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Falck Danmark AS Full time
Decarbonise Ambulance Services with Falck

Falck Danmark A/S is a leading provider of emergency services and healthcare globally. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and achieving a sustainable future. As part of this journey, we are seeking an Ambulance Decarbonisation Programme Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating the green transformation of our ambulance business by engaging stakeholders, providing strategic thinking, and developing projects to deliver sustainable emergency services. Our team operates collaboratively, and you will work closely with environmental specialists and other business partners to achieve this goal.

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on climate change while working for a global leader in emergency services and healthcare. If you are passionate about sustainability and have experience navigating complex organisations, we encourage you to apply.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop 2032 transition plans for Ambulance Western Europe, Ambulance Eastern Europe, and Ambulance USA business units in collaboration with operations and environmental experts.
  • Support CO2 reduction projects from initial idea to execution, ensuring they deliver agreed benefits and track progress towards targets.
  • Provide support to commercial teams by developing responses to customer tenders and questionnaires.
  • Coordinate with colleagues to help develop how we work with initiatives as a team and decide what other areas within sustainability we should focus on.
  • Jump in to support the business as needed with your skills and expertise to identify opportunities to improve Falck's services.

About You

  • You don't need experience within climate or environmental sustainability, but interest and willingness to learn is essential.
  • You know how to engage stakeholders (from executives to frontline staff) and balance their competing interests to create shared value for all.
  • You have experience navigating a complex organisation.
  • You are able to motivate yourself and are either driven by purpose or results.
  • You can both take a bird's eye view and get into the details – and know when each is appropriate.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel.
  • You have full professional proficiency in English. Proficiency in any of Danish, German, Spanish, or Polish may be an advantage but is not required.
  • Be aware that you will be working with our US operations in California, and occasionally meetings will be required to align with US time zones (but as we work somewhat flexibly, how the rest of your week around that is structured is up to you).
  • There is opportunity to travel (especially to California, but also to other international ambulance operations), but how much time that would be, will be determined in discussion with the successful candidate.
  • Please ensure that alongside your CV you include a cover letter to explain why you believe this is the right position for you.
