The preferred location for this position is Copenhagen, Denmark.

As a Sales Manager focusing on retrofit and newbuilding business, you'll play a key role in supporting customers by promoting innovative products to enhance their equipment's performance.

You'll be part of shaping the future for our customers, exploring future fuels and add-on solutions to decrease emissions and improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the current and future decarbonisation agenda – shaping the market in Denmark.
  • Develop strategic relationships with owners and designers to meet their needs.
  • Ensure that proposed solutions meet customer requirements and are technically feasible.
  • Support the global Wärtsilä network and business unit peers in optimising sales.
  • Lead sales projects, negotiate contracts technically and commercially for Newbuilds, Retrofits, Upgrades in assigned territory.
  • Actively promote strategic Marine initiatives in the market through conferences, webinars, exhibitions, and lobby events.
  • Align activities with General Manager Sales Denmark.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience from B2B sales, Business Development, Project Sales or Sales Account Management.
  • Strong technical education/background or experience from the industry such as marine engineering or similar.
  • Superb understanding of electrical installations, such as hybrid electric installations & engine / propulsion technology.
  • Experience from new building projects / retrofit building projects.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a strong can-do attitude.
  • Eager to grow the business, close deals and expand market share.
  • Systematic and organised approach to work.
  • Ability to find or develop the right solution for the customer.
  • Excellent communication skills in Danish & English.
