About the PositionThe position is a full-time, three-year training position for the Assistant Professorship, while the Associate Professorship is a permanent position. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the department's academic environment, teaching, and research activities. The position is based at the DPU campus in Aarhus or Copenhagen, and the chosen candidate should be prepared for some travel activity between the two campuses.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and coordination of the Master's degree programme in educational sociology
- Teach and supervise students on the Master's degree programme and other programmes offered by DPU
- Participate in research projects and data collections, especially in relation to the ongoing IEA studies
- Develop new research projects with immediate relevance to the field of research
- Contribute to the completion and dissemination of the Danish IEA studies
- PhD or equivalent in educational sociology or a closely related field
- Experience in the dissemination of analyses based on international large-scale assessment data
- Theoretical knowledge within comparative education, large-scale assessment studies, and psychometrics
- Experience or interest in teaching and supervising students
- Internationally oriented research profile and publication profile
- Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and research
