Assistant Professor in Educational Psychology

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Professor in Educational Psychology at the Danish School of Education, Aarhus University.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research in the field of educational psychology, with a focus on lifelong development. The position is a full-time, three-year training position that begins on 1 December 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and coordination of the Master's degree programme in educational psychology and other programmes offered by the Danish School of Education.
- Teach and supervise students on the Master's degree programme and other programmes.
- Develop new research projects within one or more of the following areas: early childhood education and care, developmental crisis in a lifelong perspective, learning and wellbeing in schools, research and intervention/support in relation to children, youth and adults in the digital age, and marginalised and institutionalised conduct of life in a developmental and lifelong perspective.
- Engage in knowledge exchange and participate in national and international research networks.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods and supervise student projects.
- PhD or equivalent academic qualifications in psychology, educational psychology or a related field.
- Theoretical knowledge about a broad range of psychological theories, especially contextual developmental psychology of relevance for the field of educational psychology.
- Knowledge of a variety of methods, including interviews and observation and preferably also assessment and interventions over the lifespan.
- Experience or interest in teaching and research in the field of educational psychology.
- An internationally oriented research profile and a relevant and internationally oriented publication profile.
- Experience or interest in participating in national and international research networks and communication and knowledge exchange.
- Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and research.
- Experience in or potential for obtaining external research funding.
