Position Overview
As an Automation Engineer in the AP Automation team, you will be integral to the Fill & Finish production expansions, where we are creating a new global digital AP Module and enhancing its implementation across various sites. You will collaborate with a diverse network of stakeholders, including Global IT, production sites, and engineering teams, as well as multiple suppliers involved in this innovative project.
Expect some travel as part of your role. We will ensure you receive comprehensive training, focusing on developing your expertise in OT Security.
Key Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Defining the direction for FFEx in OT Security, collaborating closely with Global Information Security (GIS) to establish the strategy that our team and vendors will execute.
• Partnering with key stakeholders within Novo Nordisk and suppliers to assess and facilitate IT, automation, and digital solutions, ensuring a balance between speed, simplicity, and scalability.
• Working in tandem with process, engineering, and production stakeholders to evaluate requirements and effectively influence design decisions.
• Actively participating in discussions with a network of automation engineers, specialists, and architects.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
• A master's, bachelor's, or technician degree in automation and/or IT, along with relevant technical experience in the automation or production sector.
• Familiarity with technologies such as MES, PCS, IoT, PLC, and Industry 4.0.
• An understanding of automation architecture and IT solutions within a production context, preferably with experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulated environment.
• Project management skills and experience in OT Security, which would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in verbal and written English.
On a personal level, you should be able to work effectively with a foundation of technical expertise. A structured approach will help you maintain a comprehensive overview while paying attention to details. Effective communication and adherence to technical quality standards are essential in this position.

The DD&IT PS – Fill & Finish Expansions department operates as a program organization within a multi-dimensional matrix structure, designed to promote cross-organizational and cross-functional collaboration to shape our future.
Our mission is to design and construct future-proof global fill & finish production facilities, emphasizing the establishment of robust foundational IT and automation that will allow these facilities to evolve digitally.
As a member of our department, you will work closely with colleagues responsible for processes and engineering, as well as various technology partners, both internally and externally.
