Job Title: Corporate Counsel

You will be joining our EMEA legal team as a key member, based out of our Copenhagen hub. Reporting directly to the Group General Counsel, a substantial part of your time will be spent on working with Data Privacy compliance, both internally and externally. You will be responsible for ensuring that Siteimprove, our Partners, and our services comply with global privacy laws, handling various customer requests/negotiations, and training our employees globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements, including DPAs, with our customers, partners, and vendors.
  • Ensuring corporate governance and compliance for our +15 subsidiaries.
  • Identifying business risks and devising practical, business-oriented solutions to mitigate such risks.
  • Managing cross-departmental compliance projects and coordinating with key stakeholders from across the organization.
  • M&A activities.
Requirements:
  • +2 years of relevant working experience with Data Privacy and security matters from either a law firm or as in-house counsel in Europe.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Master's degree in Law (Cand.jur, Cand.merc.jur or equivalent).
  • Strong collaboration skills and easily form relations in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile working environment with quick turnaround times.

  • Previous experience in a SaaS company and a strong commercial understanding.
  • You are an optimist with a can-do attitude and a pragmatic solution-based approach to the ever-changing palette of daily tasks.
  • Proficiency with German and/or Dutch.
  • Interested in and comfortable with technical discussions of software and technology.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced, sales-focused environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills; excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Team player and self-motivated.
