Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Københavns Universitet Full time
Job Description

The Department of Biology at the University of Copenhagen invites highly motivated candidates to apply for a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in spatial analysis of the tumor microenvironment. The project aims to establish a new way of understanding tumor biology by integrating tumor physicochemical traits and transcriptomic landscapes.

As a postdoctoral scientist, you will work in a highly collaborative research group with a strong background in molecular biology and single cell- and/or spatial transcriptomics. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and performing spatial metabolomics, spatial transcriptomics, and single-cell sequencing of advanced 3D cocultures of human pancreatic cancer cells and associated stromal cells.

You will also be responsible for supervising a PhD student and integrating data with physicochemical parameters obtained by live imaging of pH, lactate, and oxygen. Finally, you will use these results as the basis for initiating 3D CRISPR screens.

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled candidates with a strong background in molecular biology and single cell- and/or spatial transcriptomics. Understanding of cancer biology, particularly the tumor microenvironment, is expected, and experience with CRISPR screens is an advantage.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of researchers, develop your skills in state-of-the-art techniques, and contribute to the advancement of cancer biology research.
