We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will work on developing deep generative models and quantum computing applications for biomedical data analysis.
The research group focuses on the development of deep generative models, quantum computing, and applications to medical data. We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to the theoretical and applied work in the group.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD and MSc in bioinformatics, computational biology or a similar field, and several years of experience in machine learning and generative models. The candidate should also have a good understanding of math and statistics, as well as programming experience in Python and PyTorch.
The position is open from 1 December 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. The University of Copenhagen is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates regardless of personal background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on machine learning and quantum computing applied to protein-ligand binding and other biological or medical applications
- Develop deep generative neural networks for biomedical applications
- Collaborate with other researchers in the group and centers
- Teaching and other duties as needed
Requirements:
- PhD and MSc in bioinformatics, computational biology or a similar field
- Several years of experience in machine learning and generative models
- Good understanding of math and statistics
- Programming experience in Python and PyTorch
