We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability. As a key member of our research group, you will contribute to the development of novel methods and technologies for genome-scale fitness profiling of filamentous fungi.
Our mission is to create sustainable solutions for some of the world's most pressing challenges. You will be part of an international environment with over 50 nationalities, working alongside top scientists from around the globe.
The ideal candidate will have experience with cloning strategies, including USER, Gibson, and in vivo assembly in yeast and filamentous fungi. Protoplast preparation and transformation of filamentous fungi species, as well as submerged fermentation with filamentous fungi, are also essential skills.
You will work closely with our team to develop and implement gene editing technologies, including CRISPR/Cas9 and CRISPR/Cas12a. Experience with genomics of fungi, including DNA extraction, genome assembly, and annotation, is highly desirable.
As a formal qualification, you must have a master's degree in engineering or equivalent. We offer a challenging and rewarding job in an international environment, with opportunities for academic growth and professional development.
