About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Investment Associate to join our team at Rockstart. As a key member of our investment team, you will play a critical role in driving and owning the portfolio management process, from origination to closing of investments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our Partners and team to lead the sourcing, assessment, and development of new investment opportunities in Rockstart ventures.
  • Conduct thorough research on companies and trends to shape and refine our fund investment strategy.
  • Identify social issues where impact venture investment can help scale innovative solutions, including through analysis of tech-enabled impact business models.
  • Collaborate with our team to oversee deal pipeline processes and tools, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Support the investment team in collecting, analyzing, and categorizing the portfolio based on qualitative and quantitative data to monitor performance and provide periodic reporting.
  • Prepare and recommend capital allocation with our Partners, ensuring alignment with Rockstart's criteria for successful follow-on investments.
  • Develop and draft investment recommendations and documentation for the Investment Committee, ensuring thorough due diligence.
  • Build and maintain relationships throughout the venture capital ecosystem, syndicating follow-on investments and sharing dealflow with relevant investors.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant experience working with VC transactions, with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent social and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Passion for early-stage startups, with a desire to excel in the fields of venture capital and entrepreneurship.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English.
