We are seeking a biological research associate in stem cell biology to join our team at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Copenhagen As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research projects focused on understanding the role of the epigenome in germ cells and developing novel experimental strategies for studying gametogenesis.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments, analyzing complex datasets, and communicating your findings through high-quality scientific manuscripts. Additionally, you will collaborate with our team to develop new research ideas and approaches, participate in grant writing and grant management, and contribute to outreach communication activities.

We offer a dynamic and international research environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities, including modern laboratories, flow cytometry, imaging, next-generation sequencing, and embryology facilities for mouse and human research. We are seeking a candidate with a PhD in life sciences or a related field, experience in mouse model generation and genetics, and an active interest in epigenetics, genome regulation, or gametogenesis. Additional desirable skills include experience in mouse embryology, embryonic stem cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9 methods, flow cytometry, bioinformatic analysis, and apoptosis.

Duties:
  • Design and conduct experiments to study epigenetic dynamics and function in germ cells
  • Analyze complex datasets and communicate findings through scientific manuscripts
