The Competitive Intelligence department at Ascendis Pharma plays a vital role in maintaining a competitive edge in the industry. As a Senior Manager Competitive Intelligence, you will be responsible for leading competitive intelligence efforts, collecting and analyzing data to create a unified understanding of the market landscape.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading competitive intelligence efforts by collecting, analyzing, and disseminating information to create a unified understanding of the market landscape
  • Conducting thorough analyses of competitors' strategies, strengths, and weaknesses, and closely monitoring industry and market trends to understand the potential impact of environment changes on the business
  • Acting as a strategic thought partner across different functions and teams, collaborating to plan and execute market research projects and deep dive analytics to support key business decisions
  • Staying current on key publications (e.g., scientific literature, analyst reports, regulatory documents) and sharing findings with key stakeholders
  • Contributing to special projects or operational initiatives as needed (e.g., patient advocacy collaboration, global reach planning, scenario planning and forecasting)
  • Establishing processes, structures, and templates to support Ascendis' growth (e.g., business case process, market landscape tracker)

Qualifications and Skills:

A relevant university degree in the life sciences, preferably a PhD, is required. Additionally, you should have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, and analysis from biotech, pharma, or consultancy companies
  • Ability to synthesize complex information at both scientific and commercial levels and present it in a clear, actionable manner
  • English at a professional level, both written and spoken, and mastery of MS Office
