The PhD researcher will be part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary team developing cutting-edge 3D X-ray microscopy for life science applications. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a new generation of plant fertilization strategies for a sustainable future.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop advanced X-ray imaging methods by combining experimental and computational approaches in physics
  2. Work with laboratory X-ray microscopes at DTU and at synchrotron beamlines
  3. Collaborate with experts in nanoparticle design and plant science to develop a new approach to reveal specific aspects of plant physiology with focus on nanoparticle uptake

The researcher will require a solid grasp of microscopy, electromagnetism/optics and linear algebra, as well as skills in data analysis and experimental work.

Qualifications
  • A two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master's degree
  • Previous experience with microscopy is an advantage but not required

The researcher must also have skills in programming, e.g. Python, and be able to work independently and efficiently.
