Job Opportunity at Københavns Universitet

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic researcher to join our team at the Department of Neuroscience, Panum Institute, University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will have a strong background in neuroscience and experience in live cell imaging and image analysis.

The project involves studying cellular models of neurodevelopmental delay and epilepsy using live cell imaging of neuronal activity. The goal is to detect consequences of disease mutation on the circuit level using imaging methods, which will be amenable to drug discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct experiments to study neurodevelopmental delay and epilepsy using live cell imaging
  • Analyze imaging data to identify imaging parameters that are changed by mutation
  • Collaborate with the research group to develop and implement new imaging methods

Requirements:

  • PhD or equivalent degree in neuroscience or a related field
  • Experience in live cell imaging and image analysis
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken

What We Offer:

  • A dynamic and international research environment
  • State-of-the-art research facilities, including modern laboratories within the Mærsk Tower
  • Competitive salary and benefits package

How to Apply:

Applications should be submitted online and include a motivated letter of application, CV, and a certified/signed copy of a PhD certificate and Master of Science certificate (if applicable) and transcript of records.
