We are seeking a highly motivated and talented researcher to join our team at Hs Mittweida as a PhD researcher in the field of neural oscillations and architectural rhythms. Our research group focuses on the intricate relationship between the built environment and the human brain, with a specific focus on short-term memory and selective attention.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate the relationship between neural rhythms and the built environment
- Design and run laboratory experiments to measure the electrophysiological activity of participants while they move in space
- Develop and implement Virtual and Augmented Reality environments for experimentation
- Collaborate with our research team to advance our understanding of the impact of the built environment on cognitive processes
- Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Design, (Neuro-) Psychology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, or related fields
- Experience with experimentation and data analysis, particularly in the context of human behavior, cognition, and environmental psychology
- Strong programming skills in Matlab (EEGLAB) and/or Python (MNE)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with Virtual and/or Augmented Reality development and experimentation
- Skills in C# or other programming languages
- Background in cognitive neuroscience or related fields
- A dynamic and collaborative research environment
