Vestas, the world's leading company in sustainable energy solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Innovation Specialist to join its dynamic Tooling Concept & Validation department. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for developing innovative tooling solutions for new Vestas blade products through close collaboration with R&D, product development teams, global blades manufacturing sites, and external suppliers.

About the Role:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality tooling solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Prioritize safety in our development process, ensuring compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments using FMEA tools to identify potential issues and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Deliver reliable, efficient, and cost-effective solutions with top performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and commission manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal production outcomes.
  • Implement Design for Six Sigma principles to drive process improvements and minimize defects.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and equipment that meet project needs.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including design specifications and user manuals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing equipment design, development, and commissioning.
  • Proficiency in Design for Six Sigma, green or black belt certification.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
