Product Innovation Specialist - Join Arla Foods

Arla Foods is seeking a skilled Product Innovation Specialist to join our team. As a Product Innovation Specialist, you will be responsible for developing new products and line extensions within the mozzarella category.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop new products that meet and exceed consumer expectations vs. competitors, giving Arla a real commercial advantage.
  • Lead new product development initiatives, ensuring timely achievement of milestones throughout the stage gate process.
  • Collaborate with end-to-end organization to deliver successful product launches.
  • Conduct cost/value engineering of new and existing products, working with local and global marketers, suppliers, and supply chain teams.
  • Utilize foundational knowledge of food and/or dairy science, ingredients, and recipe development to deliver optimal product and process development.
  • Take a lead role in product and process-related development projects, working closely with commercial and supply chain teams.
  • Solve problems related to product quality and safety.
  • Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies to secure recipe implementation, including recipe finalization, quality assurance, and compliance with legal requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:



  • An education at Bachelor's or Master's level in Food Science and Technology, Dairy Technology, or similar.
  • 7+ years of experience within food product development, with an important share of that time within dairy.
  • Hands-on experience with processing equipment within food or cheese manufacturing.
  • Cross-functional project management experience.
  • Curiosity about process technology and its impact on product taste and functionality.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written) to navigate an international environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build personal relations across organizational levels and functions.
