International Humanitarian Roster – Candidate Registration Opportunity

About the Role: The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) Humanitarian Response Roster is launching a new Candidate Database, enabling individuals to register their interest in joining the roster when it is not open for recruitment.

This database serves as a pool of skilled humanitarian experts that DRC can draw upon if they are unable to find suitable candidates among existing roster members. Candidates registered in the database will be notified when the roster opens for recruitment of new members.

Key Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 3 years of humanitarian experience within a specific technical field
  2. 2-3 years of international humanitarian field experience
  3. Proficiency in one or more official UN languages, with English being mandatory and French considered an advantage
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of refugee and IDP responses
  5. Relevant educational background and preferably United Nations experience

Registration Process: Interested candidates should apply through the DRC's internal recruitment site My Pages, registering as a non-member and uploading an updated CV or P11 form. It is essential to use a unique email address if already a member of another DRC roster.

The registration process involves selecting a technical profile and ensuring correct contact information is provided. Once submitted, candidates will receive confirmation via email.

Benefits and Opportunities: By registering in the database, candidates will have the chance to contribute to various humanitarian projects and deployments. The DRC fosters an inclusive and diverse environment, encouraging all qualified candidates to participate. This role offers a rare opportunity to work with a respected organization in the humanitarian sector.

Compensation and Benefits: While the salary details are not explicitly mentioned, this role is likely to offer a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. As a leading humanitarian organization, the DRC provides its staff with a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional growth and development.

About the Danish Refugee Council: We are an equal opportunity employer committed to increasing diversity within our workforce. Our goal is to achieve a 50% balance of men and women in management roles and ensure at least 50% of these positions are filled by national staff. We strive to create an inclusive environment where all employees feel valued and empowered to contribute their skills and expertise.
