OSS Commissioning Engineer

NES Fircroft Ltd is seeking a highly skilled OSS Commissioning Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Offshore Wind Project Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the HV Commissioning of OSS Substations Electrical fit out, Harbour works, and offshore works.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the HV Commissioning of OSS Substations Electrical fit out, Harbour works, and offshore works.
- Represent NES Fircroft Ltd at the OSS Fabrication Yard in Aalborg.
- Act as a role model for high standards of work and safety.
- Ensure adherence to project Safety Rules.
- Supervise the installation and commissioning of HV components of the OSS platforms.
- Supervise the commissioning of protection and SCADA systems of the OSS Platforms.
- Confirm completion of key milestones, SAT, Mechanical Completion, etc.
- Coordinate interfaces to third-party equipment.
- Monitor and report on progress.
- Be permanently based at the preassembly yard to monitor and witness all HV/Cable works.
- Participate in witnessing yard activities and testing.
- Review ITPs and procedures from Suppliers.
- Check if installation and commissioning procedures are following ITPs.
- Proactively report on deviations.
- Report on progress daily and weekly to the OSS Commissioning Manager.
- Supervise and facilitate third-party interfaces.
- Perform Employer interface testing as required.
- Contribute actively to the evaluation of project progress and propose mitigation measures early when issues arise.
- Ensure commissioning activities are correctly documented.
- Ensure compliance with specifications and engineering standards.
- Provide a forecast of upcoming activities to the commissioning team highlighting important milestones.
- Coordinate site commissioning meetings with CON.
- Manage effectively NCRs, punch closing activities.
- Participate in wider project meetings as required by the OSS Commissioning Manager.
- Provide on-job training to O&M resources.
- Actively participate in the rollout of NES Fircroft Ltd Wind Electrical Safety Rules.
- Coordinate third-party activities on the OSS.
- Support the engineering team with the provision of testing certificates required for TSO approvals.
- Consult with the engineering team in Technical Queries.
- Support the overall project commissioning.
- Comment sheets leading to final specifications and designs.
- FAT, HAT, and SAT reports, Weekly Reports.
- Commissioning reports for packages and/or systems and subsystems.
- SNAG list, NCR list.
- Input to Programme, Input to offshore commissioning schedules.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Experience with HV Systems, SCADA, and Protection Commissioning, HV Cables.
