Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Operations Engineering to join our team at JOE & THE JUICE. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the transformation, efficiency, and continuous improvement of our physical stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Optimization: Conduct in-depth time and motion analyses of existing workflows within our stores, identifying areas for improvement and implementing creative solutions to optimize processes and boost efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Partner closely with Managing Directors for our four regions to understand their daily challenges and identify areas for workflow improvement and potential bottlenecks.
  • Solution Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of solutions to optimize and simplify specific in-store workflows, including physical layout optimization, standardized procedures, visual communication tools, and specialized equipment and smallwares.
  • Channel Production: Build seamless integration of in-store (POS & SSK) and out of store (App, Delivery, Online) order points and impact on production workflows.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions, leveraging data (including Juicer engagement) to make adjustments and refinements as needed.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on best practices and trends in F&B retail operations to identify further opportunities for optimization.
  • Culture Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the store operations team, encouraging staff to identify areas of opportunity and propose non-technological solutions.
  • Operational Assessment: Review new store concept designs to provide operational assessment of store operations engine (front of house / back of house).
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, with a focus on process improvement or operational excellence.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in operational leadership or process improvement within a retail or F&B environment.
  • Skills: Proven ability to identify inefficiencies, analyze problems, and develop creative solutions; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes of in-store inefficiencies; solid communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with store managers, staff, and cross-functional teams.
  • Passion: Passion for the F&B industry and a deep understanding of the current retail operational landscape.
