About the RoleWe're seeking a seasoned Attorney with a strong academic and legal background, combined with relevant practical experience in-house or with top-ranked private law firms. Your expertise in structuring, preparation, and negotiation of terms and conditions of international project-related contracts will be invaluable in our Offshore Wind business.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary negotiation, contracting, and legal support for the entire lifecycle of offshore wind projects worldwide.
- Advise internal business partners on complex Project Agreement terms and conditions, including non-disclosure agreements, turbine supply agreements, and service & warranty agreements.
- Evaluate contractual and commercial risks in relation to projects and present them for approval to senior management.
- Clarify and coordinate issues with other legal colleagues, Sales, Project Management, insurance, and other specialist departments throughout any project.
- Develop business-oriented legal solutions to complex and novel problems in a fast-moving environment.
- 4+ years of experience working in a variety of jurisdictions and commercial environments.
- Strong academic and legal background combined with relevant practical experience.
- Experience in structuring, preparation, and negotiation of terms and conditions of international project-related contracts.
- Deep knowledge of and experience with international energy plant and system contracts or construction contracts (e.g. FIDIC).
- Excellent English oral and drafting skills.
- Ability to independently think through situations from an abstract conceptual perspective and provide well-reasoned solutions to novel problems quickly.
