We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a PhD scholar in public administration. The successful candidate will be part of our research group at the Department of Political Science and Public Management, Syddansk Universitet (SDU).
About the PositionThe PhD scholarship is a fully salaried position that spans over three years. The successful candidate will be enrolled in the PhD programme in Political Science and will be part of our research group, which focuses on public management, leadership, organization, governance paradigms, public employees, civil servants, public finances, citizen-state interactions, AI, local and central government, and local elections.
Requirements and Programme StructureThe PhD programme is designed to provide the successful candidate with a comprehensive understanding of public administration and research methods. The programme structure includes coursework, research seminars, and a PhD project proposal. The successful candidate will be expected to produce a PhD thesis that contributes to the field of public administration.
Application and Assessment ProcessTo apply for the PhD scholarship, please submit the following documents:
- A PhD project proposal of no more than 12,000 characters in total, including spaces, notes, appendices, bibliography etc.
- An abstract for the above project description of no more than 250 words, to be submitted on a separate sheet/page.
- A motivated application.
- A detailed CV (max. 2 pages).
- A copy of your master's/bachelor's degree certificate including all examination results.
- A copy of your bachelor's degree certificate.
- Information on experience with teaching, dissemination, or scientific publication, if applicable.
All non-Danish documents must be translated into English. The project proposal and the project abstract must be written in English. Applications must be submitted electronically using the link "Apply now". The application deadline is 15 October 2024 at 23:59 CET.
