Postdoctoral Researcher in Physical Activity Behaviour Change

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics, University of Southern Denmark. The successful candidate will work on a 3-year project funded by the Danish Heart Foundation, focusing on developing and testing an intervention to increase Vigorous Intermittent Lifestyle Physical Activity (VILPA) in physically inactive women aged 40-65.
About the ProjectThe project aims to develop, refine, and test an intervention designed to increase VILPA in physically inactive women. The research team consists of internationally leading researchers across 3 continents, and this project is the world's first intervention designed to increase VILPA.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the project, including recruitment, data analysis, and dissemination activities
- Lead the development of the scientific part of the intervention
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data from the project
- Act as the point of liaison between the research team and partner organisations
- Lead or co-lead project dissemination activities, such as conference presentations and manuscripts for academic journals
We are looking for candidates with a PhD degree in physical activity and health, public health, health psychology, or related disciplines. The ideal candidate will have research experience related to digital interventions for health, physical activity promotion, and behaviour change, with excellent English written communication skills and experience with analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
