About the Role

Maersk is undergoing unprecedented change, rethinking customer and partner engagement. Our bold ambition is to decarbonize logistics, and digital technologies are key enablers in this journey.

The Maersk Decarbonization team drives emissions to zero as fast as practically and commercially possible. We seek an expert in vessel technical efficiency to drive digital solutions empowering vessels to produce energy at the lowest environmental footprint and cost.

Key Responsibilities
  1. As a subject matter expert, you will understand business requirements, success metrics, and user pain points, collaborating with cross-functional product teams to define solutions, solve business problems, and build user experiences.
  2. You will operate in a scrum team with a dedicated product owner, directing your time and resources with software engineers.
  3. Your responsibilities will cover researching business problems and objectives, user experiences, and needs, translating them into user stories, and ensuring requirements are detailed for high-quality solutions.
  4. You will focus on safeguarding that our solutions create value: driving technical energy efficiency on vessels, enabling effective fleet performance management, and providing benefits to users.
  5. You will support the team with testing, assist with developing communication and training material, and provide 3rd-level user support in domain-related matters.
Requirements

  3. A colleague with a technical foundation in hydrodynamics, vessel performance, physics of energy efficiency optimization, on-board measurements, ship propulsion, machine learning within ship hydrodynamics, and experience in advanced data analysis.
