Job Title: Interface Management Specialist

Are you a skilled Systems Engineer looking to take on a challenging role in Interface Management? Vestas is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Interface Management Specialist.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and governing the weight management model, guiding design teams in identifying and classifying interface requirements, and ensuring seamless system integration through model-based methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, document, and verify interface requirements and characteristics
  • Audit Configuration Items (CIs) for data compatibility and quality
  • Manage hardware and software interface requirements across engineering domains
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis and document interface requirements using MBSE tools and techniques
  • Coordinate data structure, storage, and movement of interface and configuration requirements in the system
  • Develop model-based engineering capabilities in interface management to identify and control change propagation in the product and throughout the value-chain
Requirements
  • Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals (MSc in mathematics, physics, computer science etc) and a comprehensive understanding of multiple engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, software, aerospace)
  • Systems thinking ability to comprehend the system as a whole and its interactions
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders across multiple domains
  • Demonstrated ability to view the system holistically and experience in handling multiple engineering domains, considering the entire lifecycle from conceptual design to transport, construction, and maintenance of the product
  • Proficiency with system modelling languages such as SysML, UML, Simulink and programming languages such as Python/MatLab for rapid prototyping
  • Experience with software design and software interfaces, network communication, and protocols in the OSI model
Preferred Experience and Skills
  • Experience with requirements management, Form-Fit-Function (FFF) & interface requirements and CAD product structure and parts modelling (PTC, Windchill preferred)
  • Experience with managing Interfaces and combinatorics
