Materials Scientist for CO2 Conversion

**Research Focus:** Our team at DTU Energy is dedicated to developing innovative solutions for sustainable energy technologies. We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team and contribute to this exciting research area.

**Job Description:** The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and synthesizing innovative materials for direct CO2 capture and conversion. This will involve conducting comprehensive in-situ and ex-situ spectroscopic studies to investigate the underlying mechanisms governing the CCU processes.

**Requirements:

  • A two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or equivalent, preferably in electrochemistry, organic chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in experimental catalysis synthesis and reactor engineering design would be an asset
  • Basic knowledge of Python, particularly for data analysis and automation, is desirable
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English, demonstrating strong communication skills
