Epidemiology Researcher Position in Eating Disorders

The Mental Health Center Ballerup, part of Copenhagen University Hospital, seeks a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to a large grant on risk and resilience for the development of eating disorders. This position is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team, working across the Center for Eating and Feeding Disorders Research-CEDaR, a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment with international collaborations.
As an epidemiology researcher, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the epidemiology workstream, carrying out data analyses, collaborating with international partners, refining research questions, leading interpretation of data, and manuscript writing. You will also supervise/line manage junior colleagues and develop your research and people management skills.
The ideal applicant will have a PhD in psychiatric epidemiology or health behaviors, experience in using Danish or other Scandinavian Registers, longitudinal data analyses, psychiatric epidemiology, and longitudinal analyses of behavioral data. Experience in eating disorders research is desirable but not necessary. The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and have published peer-reviewed data-based papers.
The salary for this position is approximately $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on seniority, plus benefits including a 37-hour work week, six weeks of paid vacation per annum, funded parental leave, matched pension contributions, enrollment in national healthcare, and labor union representation.
This position is initially offered for a fixed-term of one year with the possibility of extension to a total of 5 years. Non-Danish applicants may be eligible for tax reductions if they hold a PhD degree and have not lived in Denmark in the last 10 years.
