Aquatic Ecologist Wanted for Climate Change Research Project

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to contribute to a research project focused on the impact of climate change on fish communities and life history strategies.

The project aims to investigate how changes in fish growth strategies affect future trends in fish community biomass and potential catch productivity. The successful candidate will join a team working on this project at DTU Aqua, a leading institute for aquatic research in Denmark.

Key responsibilities include investigating various aspects of fish ecology, including biogeography, relations between fish growth, morphology, and physiology, as well as ecological modeling to simulate fish community responses to environmental change.

Requirements include a master's degree in ecologists/biologists or mathematicians/engineers with a strong interest in marine ecology. The ideal candidate should have documented quantitative skills and experience with trait-based ecology.

DTU offers a dynamic and international work environment, academic excellence, and a competitive salary. As a PhD candidate, you will be enrolled in one of the general degree programs at DTU and will have the opportunity to collaborate with experts in the field.
