Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Department of Sports Science & Clinical Biomechanics, University of Southern Denmark. The successful candidate will be part of the research section Lifecourse Nutrition & Health and will work on the Generation Healthy Kids project, a large partnership project funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

Project Overview

The Generation Healthy Kids project aims to develop and measure the effects of a 2-year evidence-based multi-setting, multi-component community intervention in a cluster-randomized design. The project will include 2500 children in 1st and 2nd grade in Denmark and will focus on promoting healthy weight, health behaviors, and wellbeing among children and counteracting social inequality.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct research activities in WP2 "Diet and Nutrition" and WP6 "Biomedical measurements"
  • Plan and coordinate scientifically based intervention components and research activities
  • Coordinate and communicate with schools, parents, and children
  • Develop materials and questionnaires
  • Publish scientific papers and present results at conferences
Requirements
  • PhD degree in nutrition, public health, exercise science, or a relevant field
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
  • Experience with project management, intervention research, questionnaires, biomedical measurements, and statistics is an advantage
