Professor in Psychiatric Epidemiology and Statistical Genetics

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced researcher to join our team as a Professor in Psychiatric Epidemiology and Statistical Genetics. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of research in psychiatric epidemiology and/or statistical genetics, and will be expected to establish and lead an independent research group in one of these areas.
The appointee will be expected to work on combining genomic and epidemiological data in models related to the causes and consequences of mental disorders. We are looking for researchers interested in combining evidence from epidemiology (data available from Danish registers) and genetics (polygenic risk scores) and participate in developing the field of translational psychiatric epidemiology.
The positions will be based at the National Centre for Register-based Research (NCRR) at Aarhus University, which is an interdisciplinary research center and a leading international research centre in psychiatric epidemiology. The applicant is also expected to collaborate with researchers at other departments across the university, as well as researchers nationally and internationally.
The working language at the department is English, but the appointee should be able to teach in Danish after 4 years of employment.

The appointee is expected to have a PhD degree or equivalent qualifications, and a strong publication record in international peer-reviewed journals. We also expect the candidate to have a proven record of obtaining significant research funding, and the ability to write and speak English fluently.
