Research Associate in Quantitative Genetics for Animal Breeding Plans

The Center for Quantitative Genetics and Genomics (QGG) at Aarhus University invites applications for a Research Associate position in the field of quantitative genetics for animal breeding plans. The successful candidate will contribute to advancing theoretical and applied research in breeding plans for livestock and insects under both conventional and organic production systems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in quantitative genetics to develop breeding goals, optimize breeding plans, and create tools for strategic and operational breeding decisions.
- Collaborate with industry partners to implement research findings and contribute to the development of new project proposals.
- Deliver innovative research of international standard and actively publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals.
- Teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and supervise Master's students.
- PhD in quantitative genetics and animal breeding with a strong background in statistical genetics and computational methods.
- Proven research experience in quantitative genetics, with a track record of high-quality contributions to the field.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience in teaching and mentoring junior scientists.
