Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team at the Center for Quantitative Genetics and Genomics (QGG) at Aarhus University.

About the Position

This two-year postdoctoral position is designed for individuals with a strong background in data science, statistics, or applied mathematics. As a postdoc, you will be responsible for developing novel methods and software tools for analyzing genomic data from admixed populations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop statistical and machine learning methods to leverage ancestry patterns over the genome of individuals.
  • Design and implement simulations and real-data analysis pipelines using complex gene regulatory network structures.
  • Create user-friendly software for data analysis and simulations.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and scientific journals.
  • Participate in organizing short courses and workshops.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a PhD degree in a relevant field, with a strong programming background in languages like Julia, Python, or R. Experience in quantitative genetics and genomics is advantageous but not necessary. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for presenting research to various audiences.
