About the role

As a Grants Controller at PlanBørnefonden, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of grants and projects. This includes ensuring compliance with donor requirements and guidelines. The role requires strong analytical skills, with an ability to convey complex information in a simple and understandable way.

Key responsibilities

  • Financial follow-up of projects and grants, including data quality, primarily using Power BI dashboards
  • Advising and guiding projects on donor requirements and guidelines, ensuring they are understood and respected
  • Reporting to donors according to guidelines
  • FOLLOWING-UP on any irregularities in audits of projects in different countries and resolving them in cooperation with country offices
  • Carrying out financial monitoring of projects in different countries, sometimes together with programme managers, and visiting local partners
  • Participating in potential applications for new projects

About you

You will be a professional with an analytical approach to challenging issues, able to convey complex information in a simple and understandable way. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, with a wide range of business partners and colleagues from other disciplines and cultures. Your approach to problem-solving will be characterized by high professionalism and accuracy.

Requirements

  • You will have a relevant higher education within economics
  • You will speak and write English fluently, as it will be your primary working language
  • You will be able to travel abroad 3-4 times a year, with trips planned to consider your private circumstances
  • Knowledge of French will be an asset, particularly for projects in West Africa
