Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Mobile Team Member

Hedia, a pioneering digital health company, is seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their mobile team in Copenhagen. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the software.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement automated tests, manual tests, test frameworks, and test strategies.
  • Improve the overall testing strategy and implement effective test automation techniques.
  • Manage Jira tests and their linkage to automatic tests to ensure comprehensive coverage and traceability.
  • Test the product on various phones and screen sizes to ensure optimal user experience and test third-party integrations.
  • Conduct thorough testing of new functionality and identify bugs early in the development cycle.
  • Maintain different Android/iOS versions on physical devices, including various makes and models.
  • Perform 'monkey testing' during internal builds to uncover potential issues and edge cases.
  • Maintain and perform manual tests that cannot be automated or require human interaction.
  • Enhance and maintain the CI pipeline to enable efficient integration and testing.
  • Document software validation processes and contribute to technical documentation.
  • Participate in the risk management process and validation of risk control measures.
  • Investigate and diagnose bugs reported by users or detected through monitoring tools.
  • Conduct regression testing during software updates.

By fulfilling these responsibilities, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality software, enabling individuals with diabetes to effectively manage their condition and improve their overall well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an SDET or in a similar role, with a deep understanding of software development life cycle and the mobile environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or similar languages. Experience with React or React Native will be taken as an advantage.
  • Strong experience with test automation frameworks, including Detox, Selenium, or similar tools.
  • Experience with mobile application testing on different devices, platforms, and screen sizes.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking systems like Jira and maintaining test cases within Jira.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with risk management is a plus.
