Black Swans Exist ApS is a pioneering company in the food industry, committed to revolutionizing the way we think about sustainability. As a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's financial strategy, ensuring its continued growth and success.

Salary: DKK 1,200,000 - 1,500,000 per annum

Job Description:

The CFO will oversee all financial operations of the company, developing and implementing strategies that align with overall business goals. This includes financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, as well as providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Financial Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and implement the company's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
  • Manage financial risk and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues.
Financial Operations and Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, payroll, tax, and treasury functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions.
Investment and Fundraising:
  • Develop and execute strategies for securing investment and funding to support the company's ambitious growth strategy.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to prepare financial models, forecasts, and business plans for potential investors.
  • Prepare and support in the presentation of financial information to potential investors and stakeholders.
  • Support in the management of relationships with investors, venture capitalists, and other financial partners.
  • Take full accountability in the due diligence process and ensure compliance with investment agreements.
Strategic Projects and Initiatives:
  • Support and oversee major strategic projects, including new product launches, market expansion, and M&A activities.
  • Provide financial insights and guidance for key business decisions.
  • Ensure financial aspects of projects are well-managed and aligned with company goals.
Financial Project Management:
  • Oversee the financial aspects of the construction of a new manufacturing site, ensuring the project stays within budget and on schedule.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure financial efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement financial controls and risk management strategies for the project.
  • Monitor and report on project financial performance, identifying and addressing any financial issues or discrepancies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within the food or biotechnology industries.
  • Demonstrated success in securing and managing investments, including Series A, B, and C funding.
  • Extensive experience in financial project management, particularly in overseeing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, standards, and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with investors and stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
