Job Description:

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proficient Financial Controller to join our team at wm-con. As a key member of the Finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial controlling, accounting standards, and risk management, with a meticulous approach to financial accuracy and compliance.

You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring timely and precise month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and adjustments.

In addition, you will conduct detailed variance analysis, financial reconciliations, and ensure data accuracy in all financial records.

You will also oversee the collection, validation, and maintenance of financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Ensure timely and precise month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and adjustments.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis, financial reconciliations, and ensure data accuracy in all financial records.
  • Oversee the collection, validation, and maintenance of financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support external and internal audit processes by preparing necessary documentation, addressing queries, and ensuring compliance with audit findings.
  • Monitor compliance with tax regulations, statutory reporting requirements, and corporate financial policies.
  • Implement and maintain financial control policies, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance financial reporting quality, process efficiency, and system improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and policies.
  • Process monthly payroll runs and manage international payroll through our Employer of Record provider.
