About the Role:

\

We are seeking an experienced Sourcing and Procurement Specialist to join our team at GE Vernova's Power Transmission Service business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process from source to pay for contractors and spare parts across Denmark.

\

Main Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Manage the Buying Process: Oversee the buying process for spare parts, materials, and subcontractors across Denmark, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.\
  • Drive Procurement Activities: Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to drive operational excellence, reduce costs, and improve supplier relationships.\
  • Negotiate Pricing and Terms: Conduct RFQs, negotiate pricing, and contractual terms with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.\
  • Support the Procure-to-Pay Cycle: Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve any issues that may arise during the procurement process.\
  • Develop Key Performance Metrics: Create and implement metrics to measure on-time delivery, savings against budget, and cost reduction opportunities.\
  • Utilize Lean Methodologies: Apply lean principles to improve proposal processes and reduce waste.\
  • Analyze Spend and Identify Opportunities: Develop reports to analyze spend patterns and identify opportunities for cost reduction and cash flow improvements.\
  • Resolve Disputes and Manage Relationships: Resolve contractual and supplier disputes, protect the interests of the business, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.\
  • Develop Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including project management, EHS, engineering, operations, finance, quality, and other teams.\
  • Lead Meetings and Reviews: Organize and lead meetings, reviews, and communicate project status effectively.\
  • Collaborate with Regional and Global Stakeholders: Work with regional and global sourcing members to interpret requirements, develop, and implement sourcing and procurement strategies.\
  • Develop Knowledge of Business Drivers: Gain a deep understanding of key business drivers, customer needs, sales territory, product lines, markets, and sales processes.\
  • Exercise Autonomy in Decision-Making: Make decisions within defined frameworks, exercising autonomy in deal-making and negotiation.\

    • Bachelor's Degree: Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in business, supply chain, or related fields.\
    • Minimum 1 Year Experience: Possess a minimum of 1 year experience in commercial sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and contract negotiation.\

      • M/S Office Skills: Demonstrate solid M/S office skills, including Excel formulas, v-lookup, and pivot table knowledge.\
      • Communication and Presentation Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation and report preparation skills.\
      • Negotiation and Analytical Skills: Exhibit strong negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.\
      • Ability to Execute Multiple Tasks: Ability to execute sourcing and procurement tasks across multiple projects simultaneously.\
      • Data Analysis Skills: Possess data analysis skills, including the ability to assess supplier technical capability and capacity.\
      • Knowledge of SAP: Familiarity with SAP systems is desirable.\
      • Cross-Cultural Environment: Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment across different geographical areas.\
      • Interpersonal and Leadership Skills: Possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to develop key internal and external relationships and influence at all levels.\
      • Understanding of Financials: Understanding of financials and P&L impact of sourcing decisions is essential.\
      • Language Skills: Fluency in English and Danish is mandatory.\
      • Desirable Qualification: A bachelor's degree in engineering is desirable but not necessary.\\
