We are looking for an experienced veterinary microbiologist to join our team at the University of Copenhagen. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will work closely with our research group to develop evidence-based training programs and enhance capacity-building for antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention and control.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Contributing to ongoing research projects on antimicrobial resistance
• Developing diagnostic tests and methods to reduce antimicrobial use
• Optimizing veterinary antimicrobial use to minimize selection and spread of antimicrobial resistance
• Delivering lectures for veterinary students and applying for funding for research projects
• Coordinating and implementing activities for EU Joint Action on Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare-Associated Infections (JAMRAI2)
Qualifications and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• A PhD in Microbiology or a related field
• Excellent scientific writing and communication skills
• Experience in supervising students and staff
• Knowledge of antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention and control concepts
• Research experience in antimicrobial resistance, metagenomics, or veterinary mycology (desirable)
