The platform technology division is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and technologies that support the engineering functions of the LEGO Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and cultivate the direction and culture of a newly formed and vital team without legacy systems.
- Lead the development and enhancement of the technical platform.
Your Contribution to Team Success
In this role, you will collaborate within a product team to create a platform that empowers other product teams to gather data from the production floor and implement software that interfaces with manufacturing machinery. You will work closely with hardware to ensure our equipment can securely connect to the cloud in a scalable and easily manageable manner. The platform is intended to function with compact, cost-effective computing devices in an IoT-like environment. Our goal is to establish a zero-touch provisioning platform, minimizing the need for specialized IT expertise on the production floor.
Do You Possess the Required Skills?
- Proficient in programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, or similar.
- Some familiarity with IoT technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure, ideally infrastructure as code.
- Skilled in CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Containerization.
- Knowledgeable in utilizing AWS or Azure cloud services.
- Enjoys integrating software and hardware.
- Capable of working independently and guiding the product team’s direction.
- Open to new initiatives and fosters a positive team culture.
- Able to articulate and document ideas effectively with colleagues.
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
- A genuine passion and curiosity for technology.
- Experience with networking devices.
- Background as a systems administrator, complemented by software development experience.
- Familiarity with operating system provisioning.
